It’s a real ‘Harry Met Sally’ kind of tale! Amanda & Zach first crossed paths at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006, but let's just say Amanda wasn't exactly writing love poems back then. Sixteen years later, in January 2022, they had a rather literal reunion on a Los Angeles street, thanks to fate, or maybe Zach's good people spotting skills. Amanda playfully accuses Zach of an ambush; he claims it was a friendly tap. They’re still debating the physics of it. Thankfully, Zach decided to say hello, a phone number was exchanged, and a friendship began.

A few weeks later, coffee turned into endless conversations during neighborhood walks. Over the next year and a half, they bonded over their shared love of the beach, hiking, exploring new corners of the world, their feline roommates, and their quirky similarities. All that time as friends had created a deep connection and a pretty big realization that their big-picture vision for life matched perfectly. Fast forward to July 2023, a trip to Joshua Tree changed everything. Under the desert stars, they realized the stars had aligned for them to be more than friends. Oh, and the fact that Zach's apartment building door code was Amanda's birthday (0630)? Total kismet. Since then, they have been through it all – the good, the bad, and the cat hair.

Many moons later, on a seemingly ordinary Wednesday afternoon, Amanda suggested a walk – one of their favorite rituals. Little did she know, Zach had a special detour in mind. He casually led her back to that very exact street corner where their lives collided a few years prior. There, in a moment of perfect serendipity, Zach got down on one knee and asked Amanda the easiest question she's ever answered: "Will you marry me?" It was the sweetest, most thoughtful way to begin their next chapter together.

They are incredibly grateful to have found each other and still marvel at how it all unfolded. Through it all, they found they’re truly two peas in a sunshine-loving, cat-adoring, adventure-seeking pod.
